What started back in 1986 and happens one time a year, hundreds of owners and their antiques take a trip to the small town of Ottawa, Kansas to show off their rides. Not only is this event perfect for car-enthusiasts, but it's also family-friendly for people of all ages! The fun begins Friday evening with the check-in for pre-registered participants, t-shirt sale, and activities. In the early morning of Saturday, owners and their vehicles pile into Forest Park to get the best parking spot and spend the day meandering through the park until the sun starts to set. Once evening sets in, cars line up downtown, waiting for cruise night to begin.

Take a step back in time: the smell of exhaust, music set back in the 60s/70s playing on speakers, that's what this cruise night is about. With a live DJ transmitting music all along the downtown strip, it's a great time to be had by all as you watch and admire all the vehicles as they pass by. If you stay through the night into Sunday, there is a church service, pre-registration for next year, door prizes and awards. Whether you are a local or from a different state, the Ol' Marais River Run Car Show is an event that shouldn't be missed.
